Good news for all Malaysians – one of the most intriguing phones that Motorola has announced this year is available in their country. MOTOSURF A3100 is powered by a personalized version of Windows Mobile 6.1 and has a 2.8” touchscreen with QVGA resolution, 3-megapixel camera, A-GPS and Wi-Fi. The device has a really nice design and according to the manufacturer, it will be useful to the business customers, as well as to the average people, looking for an easy access to the Internet and their favourite social networks. Our first impressions (which we’ve gotten at CES 2009) are on the positive side. The device is pretty compact, the home screen has been nicely personalized, but unfortunately, the menus use the same old WM interface.
The price of the smartphone is around $545 and you will be able to buy one if you’re passing through Malaysia, because the A3100 is a quadband GSM with global 3G or, in other words, it can be used all over the world. There is no information about future availability in other countries.
